For anything larger than a small flat we survey first — remotely or on site — because volume, access, stairs and lift availability determine the vehicle and crew size. A survey costs nothing and prevents the two classic failures: a truck too small, or a crew that cannot get a wardrobe down a stairwell.
Business relocations are judged on downtime. We normally run them across a weekend or overnight: dismantle and pack after close of business, transport, reinstate, and have workstations usable before staff return.
IT equipment is handled separately, with cables labelled and servers moved last and reinstated first. Records and archives are moved in sealed, sequenced containers so nothing is lost from a filing system mid-move.
